You know how important it is to stay hydrated. Right? Yet it’s so easy to get hooked up in our daily routine that we even forget about the world around us. Some of us can’t stop until the job is done. This is good when there’s a lot to be done but we could also have constant headaches, feeling tired and thirsty.
Sometimes I’ll down a couple of glasses or half a bottle of water. Is this enough? I don’t think so. I feel so much better when I drink at least 1L of water a day. I can think straight and overall feel more productive. It even helps me to improve my mood and feel less grumpy!
So I decided to include water in my daily routine. Here I’m showing you 5 ways to stay hydrated during a busy schedule.
1. Find out exactly how much water you need to drink.
I don’t know about you but if I drink too much water during the day I’m so fed up that I don’t drink anything else during the following days. Each body requires a different amount of water.
How can I know how much exactly? Divide your body weight in half and you will get approximately in ounces. I need to drink approx 50 to 60oz every day, so around 1L and a half. Check out the chart below to find out your daily water intake.
2. Keep a Socosani water bottle next to you all the time.
Keeping a bottle of water next to you all the time will increase the chances of just having a couple of zips from time to time. It’s a lot easier to stay hydrated with Socosani due to the crazy amounts of Electrolytes and minerals it has.
To me, the visual aspect is an important part of the equation. I love the shape of Socosani’s bottle and that’s why I carry it with me the whole time. Keep it on your desk, office, by your nightstand, on the ground next to the running machine, and take it with you if you’re going out.
3. Stay hydrated with a cool water tracker app!
It isn’t easy to always remember to drink water, much less to know exactly how much you drink during the day. The good news is that there are lots of apps that can do it for you. Here are a few of the best-ranked hydration apps of 2021.
- Plant Nanny
- My water balance
- Daily water
- Waterlogged
4. Avoid beverages that dehydrate.
Certain drinks like coffee, alcohol, and coke may seem to dehydrate your body a lot. It might be tempting to drink a can of coke when you are feeling really thirsty but it will actually make it worse. You can include such beverages into your hydration plan but just make sure to compensate with plenty of water and it will do the trick!
Keep a bottle of Socosani water chilling in the fridge so when you feel like drinking a can of coke, grab the chilled bottle instead. Your body will thank you later.

5. Find the drink you love!
You don’t have to drink plain water all the time! We all know it could get annoying pretty easily. It is the same principle as finding a nice water bottle. Find a beverage you’re looking forward to drinking. Treat yourself to some blackcurrant squash or squeeze some lemon or lime.
I personally prefer lime with watermelon, orange or strawberry and mint. There are many ways to flavour your water and still receive all the benefits of a highly mineral water. If it tastes good, you will drink more of it.
